Basic conditions and rules for renting a car in Dubai
Hirer acknowledges with signature that the terms and conditions
mentioned above and overleaf are agreed and other standard terms
and conditions are acceptable.
Minimum rental period is 3 day (72 hours) with maximum grace
period of 1 hour.
Minimum age of the driver - 23 years. Driver 21-23 years old in
case of red police report have to pay 15% of invoice from
insurance.
Driver on Resident status must have a valid driving license
acceptable to the UAE authorities that is 1 year old.
Driver on Visitor/ Tourist status must have an International
Driving License and the National Driving License that is 1 year
old.
Not to take the vehicles outside UAE territories.
Vehicles are for paved road use only. Owner will turn off the
car, remaining rental period and deposit will not be refunded,
charge 20000 AED if Hirer use the vehicle for hire, rallying,
racing, drifting, any type of off road application (including
desert fun drives etc.), driving through pool of water,
Insurance does not cover for any damages or losses in case the
vehicle is used for these activities. In case of violation of
the above – in this case Hirer will be fully responsible for any
damages.
Only name of drivers mentioned in the agreement are allowed to
drive the vehicle, Owner will charge AED 2000 if the car is
driven by unregistered person.
Not to sub-let or give possession of the vehicle to third party
and use the vehicle for illegal, criminal or for any purpose
other than for those the vehicle is intended for. Insurance is
not covered in case the vehicle is used for these activities.
Hirer is not allowed to drive over 150 km/h, if driver goes over
this speed limit he will be warned on the 1st attempt and
charged 2000 AED, on the 2nd attempt Owner will turn off the car
and the remaining rental period and deposit will not be
refunded.
Hirer accept all liabilities and pay all fines and other related
expenses incurred due to violation of traffic, municipality and
local laws.
Traffic fines and Salik deposit of AED 2000 (AED 5000 for Luxury
cars) will be kept as deposit for 30 days from the date of
return.
Owner will charge 10% service charges for all Traffic fines.
Owner will charge 5 AED for per pass Salik gate.
Owner will charge 800 AED for each body damage or scratch on the
paint the car as well as car wheels emerged as a result of
careless and improper use of the vehicle.
To compensate the Owner in case the Hirer violates the terms and
conditions of the agreement and causes damage, loss or theft of
the vehicle or part of it due to any reason, irrespective of his
or driver’s fault, pay, the amount of all resulting loss and
expenses of the owner (including but not limited to replacement
or recovery costs, repair costs, compensation for reduction in
value, fines etc and all loss of revenue)
In the event of any accident or damage, the Hirer should not
remove the vehicle without informing the police and obtaining a
police report.
Inform the Owner immediately in case of an accident and get a
police report acceptable to the insurance company to handle the
insurance claim.
The Hirer shall pay the Owner of AED 1500 for the loss incurred
in a simple car repair. This amount is payable in all cases
where the accident is the fault of the driver or the fault of a
third party. If, for any reason, it is not possible to obtain a
police report to make an insurance claim, the Hirer will pay for
all the costs of repairing the vehicle, damage to third parties,
including but not limited to less use. According to the UAE
laws, vehicle accident not be removed from the scene when police
inspected the vehicle, the employer will pay the cost of
transporting a vehicle crash at a workshop or appropriate police
court in the emirate, and then in the studio.
Not to repair the vehicle by any unauthorized person.
To ensure all fluid levels (oil, water fluids etc.) and tyre
pressures are maintained to the levels specified and accept
financial liability for any damage from use of the vehicle below
the specified required levels.
One way shipping or return charges are AED 100 in the UAE at
Dubai Airport, AED 250 for Sharjah and AED 800 for other
Emirates.
Hirer pay AED 1000 for shampooing in case the vehicle is
returned with cigarette smoke or dirty.
To return the vehicle in overall good condition, without
apparent defects/ damages and with all documents and accessories
to the Owners location on a date designated in this agreement.
Hirer must return the car with the same fuel level which he
received it, or pay 1.5 times the actual fuel cost.
If the vehicle is returned before the end date of the contract
Owner does not return the amount paid for the entire period of
the contract
